Hooray today's the debate!!!! Kate will be defending Virtual school, and Kel's defending public school. Kel is going to go first. I'll decide when it's done so we don't have this going on all night. Good luck!!!!!
Some people wonder is you could get a better education, overall in a public school or a virtual school.
Hey, Ari, I know you said that you will say when it's over but me and Kate have to agree it's over too!
ReplyDeleteOr maybe another way is that we can give up
DeleteSure, as long as we are all satisfied.
DeleteKK!
DeleteThe debate begins!
ReplyDeleteAri, can you please explain your question?
ReplyDeleteSome people are wondering which school would you get a better education in
ReplyDeleteNow can we start???
(That wasn't aprt of it the now can we start?? part just so you know)
Or how about which school could you get a better education in??
ReplyDeleteI believe that it really depends on the school. If the public school is very bad and horrible than I think the last resort would be Virtual School but there are MANY down sides to Virtual School, for example funding.
ReplyDeleteYes but overall CAN WE START??????????????
ReplyDeleteThat was my starting comment. Isn't that what you wanted? A reply? Or am I wrong?
ReplyDeleteKel, your supposed to defend Public school.
DeleteOh ok then Kate go ahead sorry:):( my mistake
ReplyDeleteLOL thats ok.
ReplyDeleteKel, you are supposed to be defending the public schools
DeleteOK then maybe we should start again.
ReplyDeleteLike how?
ReplyDeleteKel, you are supposed to be talking in favor of Public Schools
DeleteJust post a comment DEFENDING public school so I'll know and if you were just make it a little clearer
ReplyDeleteI know that I am DEFENDING Public Schools but that is how I feel about it. Should I start off different? Cuz I can start different.
ReplyDeleteYes just make it a little clearer how your view is and then it'll be all right
ReplyDeleteAnd we are starting the debate!!!!!!!!!!
I believe that Public Schools have MANY advantages in certain circumstances and that Virtual Schools have MANY disadvantages. Which leads me to the conclusion that I think education at a Public School is a better one rather than education at a Virtual School.
ReplyDeleteI believe that an education at a Virtual School would be better than an education at a Public School. Public Schools can become crowded and students won't be able to learn in an enviornment with so many people. To many childeren in a classroom can make learning harder. In a Virtual School, you do your school lessons at your house. Your own home is the most comfortable place to learn and do school lessons.
ReplyDeleteNot all schools become crowded though. So the majority of public schools are still a-ok! The problem with working out of your home is that if you get too comfortable with your environment you will begin to slack off and 'working at your own pace' will pretty soon become a very slow, very lazy pace that can't be modified by teachers. Of course your parent or guardian will try to make you move along but if you aren't 100% interested in moving forward you will be forced into learning and you REALLY won't be learning ANYTHING at all. Secondly, if you have many brothers and sisters (more than 2) you might not have enough computers and then, when and what you learn becomes up to how fast your sibling works when using the computer. Now if each sibling has a time slot that won't help much either! For example if the child is having a hard time comprehending the concept being taught and then eventually they finally start getting it and their time on the computer is cut off right then and there they will loose their train of thought (they will also loose it because they get startled when they are told there time is up) and it will be hard for them to pick up when they are aloud back on the computer later. Also, they won't be aloud to go over their time because then it will screw up the schedule and then once the schedule is messed up EVERYTHING gets out of line and messed up. Also you might say that there will be a computer for each student. However, that is pretty much impractical because getting more than two computers will get REALLY pricey and I'm pretty sure the program for the school WON'T supply a computer to EACH child. Having a child short of a computer will be HORRIBLE!
ReplyDeleteOn the contrary, learning at your own pace is very important because even if your pace is slow, being in a public school and learning in a faster pace will not help at ALL! If you are in a Virtual school you will be able to learn the concepts without having the pressure of a teacher telling you time is up. Also, if there are not enough computers, in a Public school you don't have all day, only a certain period of time for each subject. So if you have to stop in a virtual school, you can start it off later, a better time, where in a public school you must do it fast, and you could not fully understand. And that is the most important thing. Not going to fast, so you can't do the work they give you, and learning to keep up with due dates. And with the time slot you should be able to finish a lesson, and not be kicked off before you are done. And if you or a sibling needs a computer, there are plenty of other things to do. Read, do an offline lesson, or do you physical education for the day.
ReplyDeleteHey you guys, going back to my first comment, I am totally in full 100% belief in it. I am talking about Public schools and so are you, Kate. I say this because the kind of school you are talking about is a public one. The school that I am referring to when I list the disadvantages are home schools that work with computers. I believe that we should not do the debate on this topic because we aren't debating on the right things. We should do texting verses calling and I'll be defending calling. Thanks for understanding. Also, I am NOT forfeiting, I am just telling you that we should continue the debate with a DIFFERENT topic which is Calling vs Texting! I AM DEFENDING CALLING!!!!
ReplyDeleteI really like this one and its going really well, and I don't see anything wrong with it.
DeleteKate! Can't you see the problem! We are BOTH DEFENDING public school!!!! Can't you see the PROBLEM!!!!
DeleteI don't think you see what "Public School" means. A Virtual School is opened to the Public, but its a lottery to get in and it has controled class #'s. It's a very different system. Its at home, and Public schools are at the actual school.
DeleteWe have to keep going or your forfeiting. Sorry but I decide what the topic is and we already started so we can't just stop. If you do not agree to this then we have to cancel the debate.
ReplyDeleteHey ari you should do another debate!
